My new favorite rapper

Now as youre reading this, keep in mind that I've never once had a single favorite rapper.

Yeah there are some exceptional MC's that have things that sets them apart from the rest. If anyone, I was leaning towards Eminem and Immortal Technique, both of em I think are simply great. Both have sick backgrounds and sick music to top it off. But even then I couldn't officially name either my favorite rapper. No one could be my favorite rapper, I've never believed there could be a best rapper or a rapper thats the best in my opinion... Until now..

If you haven't heard of him from my ramblin about him, you prolly heard his single, Brooklyn Girls. If not, ur living under a rock or you live in an area were new/hot music comes late. His names Charles Hamilton, and I have no doubt in my mind that he's gonna be a BIG part of music in the future. He's overall sick and it's crazy how Im on him right now, pause...

I first heard him when I went to Boston for Christmas break me and my cuzzo were in the living room when the Brooklyn Girls video came on. I thought it sounded alright, I liked that there weren't any half naked videhoes, expensive cars, or cash flyin everywhere.. But halfway I started gettin annoyed by it. 

Sometime later when I got back home I was readin up on another rapper, Asher Roth who did a track with Charles Hamilton. it was called Change Gone Come and it was pretty sick so I figured I would look up some Charles Hamilton music. 

I think it was Unapologetic, yeah thats what it was.. After listenin to it for a little bit I realized he was highly cocky and arrogant, two characteristics I could never stand. I was a lil too quick to hate, and I jus put him off.. For a lil bit... But soon I started hearing more of his tracks and I just hit this point of just... What the f**k did he just say! I forgot what the song was, prolly because he has plenty of hot tracks but it was just line after line after line of punches and punches. I was jus overwhelmed by artistic ability and I quickly became a strong supporter. Thats the short version of the story lol. But he's one of those artists you just can't deny. If you're a real Hip Hop head, you can't deny real Hip Hop artistic ability, and this man right here is undeniable.

After listening to what I've heard from him so far, he's definitely the first big artist I would want to get in the studio with. 

I can relate to a lot of his music, he reminds me a lot of myself in a scary way.

Anway, thats my new favorite artists and I honestly think its gonna take a lot [A LOT] of looking and searching to top him. Dude has like 8 mixtapes out so go download them, they're all fire.

Thats all Imma write about him for now, and yeah. Im jus gonna bump some Charles Hamilton ish right now. Im out!

2. Plans For The Future

  Okay okay okay, so I know this Street Philosophy mixtape is droppin a lot later than expected but I've had some issues to deal with but I figured out where Im goin with the project. Its in the process of bein wrapped up now but for I go out and drop it, I actually have a surprise Mixtape dropping in about a week!

Its free so Im gonna have it for download and Im gonna hand out free copies. Consider it an appetizer.. Somethin small for you to bump to until the big drop comes, still enough fire for you to keep rockin to. Im not gonna drop too many details about it but its gonna have some fire to it so be ready for it. Like i said its free so theres nothin to lose, just get a copy!

I'll make another post on here and Myspace the weekend before I drop so you know when to get it. Feel free to leave me your feedback, it lets me know that my followers are lovin it and my haters are feelin it enough to pretend otherwise.

Street Philosophy Vol. 1 is still droppin! Imma let it go around early March just too make sure everythings straight with the quallity, enough copies to hand out and all that. I said this before and I'll say it again, I wanna have this as close to legit as I can.

I was thinkin about gradually stickin to Donimous? but after all this time Wondon seems to have a lot more stickage lmao, by the way we're thinkin about performin at Jaxx Nightclub in early march, its on a Saturday Ill leave a date soon. Im gonna put a poll up just to have an estimate seeing how many will go to see us. Im whippin so I'll be able to bring a couple niggas (or groupies lol) so lemme know. I dont wanna perform unless I know we have a strong support group, otherwise we'll have to shell out $500 for tickets haha

1. Intro

You are officially in my world.. 

Well not really, its not that easy

But lets call this a telescope so you could at least spot my world...

In othere words, this is as close as you could get to my world without leaving yours... you'll get it later on lol

Sometimes I speak metaphorically and Im all about my music which is why the title to this post is '1. Intro'  set up like a track listing. Why?

I mentioned being all about my music, music is my everything and I hope to become something less minor, and more major to it. Music is my pain reliever, stress reliever, and much more. One other thing music is to me is a form of expression. Kinda like a blog

Therefore, if this blog was a mixtape, this post, being my first post, is the intro.

   Ahh to be honest I rather not even introduce myself, Im like that mysterious super hero, I'd rather let my past and background come out along the series lol so Im jus gonna lay down the basics

 What does Wondon mean? Theres no definition, it can be anything I say it is. I guess it fits me in a way, like one-size fits all type ish. Jus like the music, i can make it anything I want it to be not caring what anybody else thinks about it. And another thing is 'Wondon' is different. I dont make it {music} for youre approval like many other artists do. Like I said music is my love, and like in any other relationship, the outsiders dont matter, the only ones involved in this partnership is me and my music, no gossip or rumors tearing us apart.

When did I start? Too long ago to remember. I didnt wake up one day and decided, Im gonna be a rapper, no. I was engulfed in the music, it seemed to creep into my life from every crack, corner and direction. My uncle is a DJ, my uncle performs, I have multiple cousins who are local MC's, and a few family members who perform in Dominican batchata bands. [Yes Im Dominican] With so many musical influences being so close to me, it seemed to just gradually become a big part of me, my life and my soul

What do I rap about? Listen to my music and find out because theres no way to give you a simple answer.

Rappers will tell you the rap about doin drugs, getting money, hoes, cars, guns, and any other fictional fad I forgot to mention, but Im not a rapper, Im an MC. 

And yes there is a difference between a rapper and an MC, if you don't understand it, you're not an MC.

But like I said, I  AM an MC. I also produce, I mess with audio production and all that, and I make beats. A lot of my stuff you'll hear is made completely from scratch. Written, recorded, produced completely independently with my own lyrics, my own voice, and my own beats. I guess thats one of the other things that sets me apart.

Thats my intro in a nutshell, if you wanna feel me and my history you really gotta listen to my music. Ill add more when I could think of it, for now I got some eatin and sleepin to do.
